The Meta-owned messaging platform is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to send high-quality photos on iOS beta. As per the report, the platform is planning to add a new HD button within the drawing editor header for the new feature. The button will open a menu allowing users to configure the image quality.
Option will be given before sending picture
However, the default option for all photos will always be the standard quality, so users will have to select the HD option every time they want to send a new picture with better quality. Earlier, it was reported that the new feature would allow users to share photos with their original quality but it is now expected to limit the original quality to 90 percent.
The feature can be found in the new update
The new option will preserve the image dimensions, but mild compression will still be applied. The report adds that the ability to manage photo quality is currently a work in progress and is expected to be released in a future update to the application. It was reported in January that the messaging platform was working on the feature for the Android beta, and the following month, the platform is reportedly working on it for the desktop beta.
