Clearly, it has been a great misfortune to see the disparity between the rich and the poor, the educated and the uneducated in India. There have been many reasons for this system prevailing in the society for a long time. Apart from this, it also reflects the struggle of the talented individuals in the country to change the situation when they are involved in a mad race to reach the prestige of the professional and social class. In such a situation, the introduction of education technology (Edtech) provides relief, due to which we can finally see this disparity disappear. This was the brainchild of an entrepreneur, Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman, SR Group, who advocated the use of EdTech in the Indian education system.
Piyush Chauhan, who is running a school and college under the SR Group in Lucknow, says that “Edtech actually plays an important role in bringing equality. If we talk about the modern instructional technology, the single biggest resource so far is the Internet, which provides similar services in a very cost-effective range. This is correct too EdTech is not only about increasing connectivity and technological know-how to students, but it is also about self-improvement for teachers to adopt more effective teaching approaches.”

Piyush Singh Chauhan further says that technology provides opportunities for people all over the world. It is the biggest means of reducing the gap between the rich and the poor. There are many amazing stories regarding technology, including a man who had nothing but a computer and found success doing an online business. Mostly, the emphasis is on how to prepare the students for the life ahead after 10th, 12th or 12th. In many countries, including Singapore, without giving any names, individualized education is given importance. The biggest objective of edtech is not technology but to inspire its use.
Technology reduces inequality in education. If teachers are properly trained to use edtech in teaching, a basic digital classroom will effectively start eliminating educational inequality and thus the lack of physical resources will not affect any student.
