Tinder Features: The world’s most popular dating ace, Tinder has come up with a new feature, Relationship Types, in addition to the recently introduced Relationship Goals, to support authentic and honest connections. Tinder daters have changed their state-of-the-date by moving away from the limitless pressure imposed on themselves by timelines, white picket fence goals, and commitment labels. The new generation of singles have no tolerance for dating games, as recently depicted in Tinder’s first global brand campaign, “It Starts With a Swipe.”

In a recent Tinder survey, 73 percent of young singles said they are looking for someone who is clear about what they want. Members are demonstrating the high importance they place on being authentic, honest and voluntary with the information they provide in their Tinder profiles. This new update follows the launch of Relationship Goals, a badge on members’ profiles to clearly state what they’re on Tinder for, such as long-term relationship, open to long-term but short-term relationship, short-term but long-term relationship Open to, short term, new friends, or still considering it. Using the Relationship Goals feature, 40 percent of Tinder members who express their interest on the app say they are looking for a long-term relationship4, while 13 percent are looking for a short-term relationship.
